Children's Birthday Parties

Painting pottery is an excellent activity party for children. They have fun painting, learn some new skills and have something they can keep to remind them of the party. At The Clay Studio we ensure that they have a great time and produce something of which they can be proud. We also have a new pamper party.

We have four different party options to suit your budget and number of guests. This also gives choice for the children and ease of organisation for parents. We are a large studio and can accommodate both small and large parties. The is no minimum number and we can seat up to 24 in our upstairs Gallery Room and around 40 downstairs. The Clay Studio is the ideal choice for that special party for your child and their guests.

Options & Prices

Party Option 1 - Mr Men / Little Miss Party NEW

The Mr Men / Little Miss party is ideal for our younger visitors who are invited to paint with mummy or daddy. This party option includes:

  • A choice from ten Mr Men / Little Miss hangers which are ideal for a handprint on the reverse and names on the front. .
  • Mr Men story time before painting.
  • Special finger buffet with cucumber sticks, carrot sticks, etc, after painting.
  • Personalised plate for the birthday child.
  • Party bag including Mr Men/Little Miss book.

Cost: £20 per head (minimum ten children)

Party duration: 1.5 hours including food

 
Party Option 2 - Fabulous Five Party

Fabulous Five offers children a choice of five items with a mug, bowl and plate always included. The other items may vary from time to time.

Cost £12 per head. (Minimum six children)

Party duration 1.5 hours

 
Party Option 3 - Great Eight Party

The Great Eight has a choice of eight pottery items to paint. The range available always includes a plate, mug and bowl. Other items will typically include trinket boxes and money boxes. We are also able to theme the items available to suit your requirements

Cost £15 per head. (Minimum six children)

Party Option 4: Disney Party NEW

Our new Disney party allows you to paint special Disney bisque. A range of five pieces includes Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Mickey Trouser Mug, Cars, Wishing on a Star Travel Mug.

All parties include:-
  • Exclusive use of our party room for 1½/2 hours for parties of ten or more
  • Party invitations – downloadable from our Web site
  • Helium balloons on each guest’s chair
  • A choice from our party range of ceramics
  • Complete painting instruction and supervision
  • Unlimited use of paints, brushes and other resources
  • Personalised plate for the birthday child for parties of ten or more.
  • Glazed and fired birthday plaque in The Clay Studio Hall of Fame (for parties of ten or more)

Party food

The Clay Studio provides food for children’s parties at £3.50 per head. This includes a selection of quality sandwiches, crisps, sausage rolls, biscuits and orange squash, Specific dietary requirements can be addressed if notified well in advance. You are free to bring a birthday cake of your choice.

If we are providing food for the party we recommend adding 30 minutes to the party duration.

  General Information
  • All pottery painted during parties is available for collection in one week.
  • No more than two adults should be present at a party unless the children are five years old or younger. (Excluding option 1)
  • Party guests should arrive on time and be collected on time to enable smooth running of the party.
  • Please remember that other visitors will be using The Clay Studio while your party is in progress. Running, jumping or shouting are not permitted.

Booking Your Party

  • Check with us that your chosen date and time is free.
  • Party is confirmed on receipt of 50% of painting fee as deposit.
  • Complete party booking form.
  • Call us a few days before the party with final numbers and any special dietary requirements.
