The Clay Studio provides a relaxing
atmosphere for all visitors regardless or age or any disability. We

location at the above address.
- The Clay Studio is easy to reach by
public or private transport. Buses stop nearby in the High Street.
Christchurch railway station is about 5-10 minutes walk. The Clay
Studio offers limited free parking adjacent to the property.
- There are two steps to the front
door. Buggies can be easily lifted up these steps. Wheelchair access
is possible by entering through the next door premises (Tony Hair)
on days when Tony Hair is open (normally Monday to Saturday). There
is a connecting door between the two properties. There is level
access through Tony Hair to The Clay Studio.
Inside The Clay Studio
- The Clay Studio has two floors. The
lower ground floor is normally used for parties, group bookings and
overflow painting only. This is not accessible to wheelchairs or
buggies as there is a flight of stairs. The ground floor has a small
slope between the front and rear areas which should not pose any
difficulties to wheelchairs or buggies.
- We recommend advance notice for
wheelchair-bound visitors. This enables us to give notice to Tony
Hair about wheelchair access as a matter of courtesy.
- Toilets are available on the ground
floor. The toilets do not have disabled access and wheelchair entry
is not possible.
- Public access to areas such as the
kitchen and kiln room is generally not permitted.

this rule would be made for guide or assistance dogs.
The Clay Studio On the Move
- Subject to a minimum level of
expenditure The Clay Studio is able to visit outside premises to
conduct painting sessions. This may be more suitable for a larger
group of painters who have limited mobility and where they may be in
their usual environment.
