May Half-term Painting
13 May 2008
With half-term approaching fast, thoughts turn to how to keep the children amused. Following the success of its previous school holiday Kidz Painting Academy workshops, The Clay Studio is offering two further sessions for children.
Running at 10am on Wednesday 28 May and Friday 30 May 2008, the 1½ hour sessions will guide the children through interesting and stimulating projects.
The Wednesday session will help them to create a personal plate or mug for Father’s Day on 15 June. This will teach the children several different pottery painting techniques so that their creation is personal and something special for dad to cherish.
The Friday session is called “Claying Around”. This uses wet clay to create a very special picture frame.
For just £12.50 the sessions include all the pottery and paints, full tuition, drink and biscuit and a Painting Academy certificate on completing the course.
The Kidz Painting Academy allows children to build up a repertoire of pottery painting skills and enjoy themselves doing it. With a personal masterpiece to collect a few days later, they have a unique piece to surprise friends and family. Advance booking is required for these sessions.
The Clay Studio is a contemporary pottery painting studio, offering visitors the opportunity to paint their own pottery and learn different painting and decorative effects through the Painting Academy and by having trained staff always on-hand. Alongside the painting is The Clay Studio Café which offers snacks and beverages, sourced, wherever possible, from local Dorset and Hampshire producers.
