The Clay Studio Wins The Craft Provider Category in the Prestigious Primary Times Reader Star Awards 2016

14 November 2016

In 2016, a record number of readers have voted for their favourite family-friendly places in the Primary Times Reader Star Awards. Parents of 4-11 year olds across Dorset were asked to complete a survey that appeared in the family-friendly magazine that has a distribution of 50,500 copies to primary schools across Dorset. The survey results provide an accurate reflection of where families like to enjoy their free time and what is popular with families in Dorset.

Readers were asked to complete a survey that appeared in the Back to School issue of Primary Times. This asked for their favourite family attraction, family eating place, indoor play centre, stately home or historic attraction, party venue/entertainer, craft activity provider, outdoor play centre, sports venue/provider and best event.

The Clay Studio was chosen as the winner of the Primary Times Reader Star Award Craft Provider category in Dorset. Mary Payne of The Clay Studio welcomed the award:

“We are very pleased to receive this award from readers of Primary Times. We appreciate all the support we have been given over ten years in developing this family-friendly experience. Pottery painting is a fun and relaxing activity in which the whole family can take part.”

The Clay Studio is open 6-7 days every week with late night opening on Thursdays. It is an ideal place to relax as a family as there is something for everyone to paint in a relaxed, friendly, creative atmosphere. The staff are always available to provide guidance and encouragement. Hand-painted pottery is ideal for unique Christmas gifts and decorations.

Linda Edwards, Publishing Editor at Primary Times said:

“Each year we are getting more and more readers completing the survey which is fantastic news! In particular, we’d like to say a big thank you to all the readers who took the time to fill out the survey. As always, the results are incredibly thought-provoking and revealing, and offer a glimpse into what is going through the minds of local families. The individual winners of each category all deserve a round of applause as they are clearly offering something that our readers want.”

The Clay Studio is a contemporary pottery painting studio. We have a wide range of blank pottery pieces for painting which are fired and usually ready for collection within four days. The Clay Studio is ideal for parties such as hen parties, birthday parties or just the opportunity to get together and relax with friends and family. The Clay Studio is a licensed café with a varied menu that is locally sourced wherever possible.
