New Pottery Painting Workshops Help to Inspire You

15 November 2013

The Clay Studio in Christchurch has announced a series of new painting workshops for Christmas and the New Year. Each of these seven Workshops has a different theme to enable painters to learn new techniques and experiment with new, specialist painting materials. They are all equally suitable for beginners or experienced painters who are looking for new techniques and sources of inspiration.

The seven Workshops run on Thursday evenings or Friday mornings from 5 December until the end of January 2014. The first three Workshops are projects that are ideal for Christmas with the remaining January dates having more of a winter theme to the painting. The cost of each Workshop includes the bisque pottery, all paints and materials, glazing and firing and tuition. An overview of the Workshops and pieces is available on the Painting Academy section of The Clay Studio Web site. Pieces are ready for collection a few days after completion.

Mary Payne, Managing Director of The Clay Studio, noted the importance of the new Workshops:

“The Clay Studio is all about being inspired to create something special and unique. We have chosen these seven projects to start a new series of painting Workshops that will introduce different techniques and specialist materials. All those completing these simple but effective projects will learn some new skills that will allow them to develop their own stunning pieces to astound family and friends. Each Workshop is quite different and painters can sign up to as many as they wish.”

Pleases are limited for these Workshop courses and advance booking is essential. Bookings and payment can be made at The Clay Studio in the centre of Christchurch or by calling 01202 475000.

The Clay Studio is a contemporary pottery painting studio. We have a wide range of blank pottery pieces for painting which are fired and usually ready for collection within four days. The Clay Studio is ideal for parties such as hen parties, birthday parties or just the opportunity to get together and relax with friends and family. The Clay Studio is a café with a varied menu that is locally sourced wherever possible.
