Time for Inspiration as The Painting Academy Launches Three New Courses

15 October 2010

The innovative Clay Studio in Christchurch has launched three new Painting Academy courses to help painters to create something special through learning impressive but simple painting techniques. These three courses run over October half-term and during November to December and provide something for everyone.

Mary Payne of The Clay Studio said: “We believe that everyone has the potential to create something artistic. The Painting Academy is a series of courses that are designed to be simple to do but with great results. It is a wonderful way to amaze family and friends with what you have achieved.”

Our first course is a half-term children’s course. There is a different Halloween-themed piece every weekday during half-term that enable children to create eye-catching pieces. What’s more, the plates, mugs and bowls are suitable for everyday use.

The Autumn Collection is a totally new course of six pieces. Running on Wednesday mornings and Thursday evenings from the beginning of November, it is possible to book the full course of six pieces or just individual weeks.

Our Christmas Collection consists of six popular Christmas pieces that are ideal as gifts or as decorative pieces for the home. This course also starts in the first week in November on Friday mornings and Sunday afternoons.

All of these courses have limited places and advance booking is essential.

The Clay Studio is a contemporary pottery painting studio, offering visitors the opportunity to paint their own pottery and learn different painting and decorative effects through the Painting Academy and by having trained staff always on-hand. Alongside the painting is The Clay Studio Café which offers snacks and beverages as well as wines, beers and ciders, sourced, wherever possible, from local Dorset and Hampshire producers.
